…un esitante se strusciava intento

caduto dal sereno senza vento;

uscí dal sottosuolo un me deciso

e ricucendo quel che fu diviso

compose seme. Sparso all’interiore

germinò la parola, gran scultore

che nell’oceano delle forme pesca

per una a chi nell’opera riesca…

“Singing sculture” è un’opera d’arte che risuona per mezzo del canto e del canto è “risuonatore”.
“Singing sculpture” is a work of art that resounds through the singing, and of the singing it is the “resonator”.

Tre sono gli elementi che la costituiscono: il Canto e l’essere, la Poesia e il narrare, il Risuonatore e il formare.
There are three elements that constitute it: Singing and being, Poetry and narration, Resonator and moulding.

Il Canto è originalmente composto e interpretato da Delilah Gutman sulle parole di Manrico Murzi e raccoglie tra le foglie di un Cedro del Libano una melodia suggerita dalla traccia musicale che la Natura stessa ha annotato “in campo aperto”, per suscitare l’ascolto di un canto yemenita tramandato oralmente per migliaia di anni su uno dei testi poetici più antichi, il Shir haShirim.
The melody is an original music composed and performed by Delilah Gutman on lyrics by Manrico Murzi, and it collects, among the leaves of a Lebanon Cedar, a song suggested from the music track that the Nature itself has written down “in an open field”, to arouse the listening of a Yemenite song, passed down orally for thousands of years from one of the most ancient works in verse, the Shir hashirim.

La Poesia Seme Spaccasilenzio narra di uno spazio bianco tra due frammenti di parola.
The poem Seme Spaccasilenzio (Seed Stillbreaker) tells of a white space between two fragments of a word.

La parola Seme cela nella pronuncia del suo incipit una congiunzione con valore ipotetico, “se”, quasi a voler suggerire un’invisibile condizione o un’inattesa circostanza che la subordina ad altra proposizione, la cui sola traccia è un pronome complemento, “me”.
The word Seed conceals, in the pronunciation of its incipit, a conjunction with a hypothetical value, “if”, as if it suggested an invisible condition or an unexpected circumstance that subordinates it to another proposition, whose only trace is an object pronoun, “me “.

In “Se…me” il seme genera la parola e la parola è metafora di comunicazione.
In “If… me” the seed generates the word which is a metaphor for the communication.

Il Risuonatore forma l’oggetto che rimane nel tempo, oggetto stesso del tempo e del suo svolgersi, piantato nella terra della Piantagione Paradise di Joseph Beuys. Il suo legno è di Cedro del Libano e tramanda nella sua essenza la sua antica memoria. Infatti, diffuso in India, in Birmania e nel bacino del Mediterraneo (dal III secolo a.C. in Italia), si racconta che il legno del Cedro del Libano fosse stato adoperato nella costruzione del Tempio di Re Salomone a Gerusalemme e che nell’arcieria tradizionale fosse usato per la costruzione delle frecce, nonché delle grandi barche al tempo dei fenici.
The resonator forms the object that remains over time, object itself of time and of its development, planted in the land of Paradise Plantation by Joseph Beuys. Its wood is of Lebanon Cedar and it hands its ancient memory down in its essence. Widespread in India, Burma and in the Mediterranean basin (since the third century BC in Italy), by tradition it is said that Lebanon Cedar wood was used in the building of Solomon’s Temple in Jerusalem and for the construction of arrows, as well as big boats at the time of the Phoenicians.

La voce prende forma dalle parole per liberarsi e donarsi all’aria e alla terra, dalla bocca e dalle mani dell’essere umano agli elementi della Creazione.
The voice takes shape from words to free and give oneself to air and ground, from the human being’s mouth and hands to the elements of Creation.

Ogni canto conduce ad un silenzio, un canto del “mondo” che l’osservatore potrà ascoltare appoggiando il proprio orecchio sulla campana del risonatore, una volta piantato nella terra.
Each song leads to a silence, a song of the “world” that the viewer can listen to placing his/her own ear on the bell of the resonator, once planted in the ground.

La singing sculpture “Il seme genera la parola” si inserisce nell’ambito di MAP, un progetto di ricerca musicale – Musica, Arte e Poesia, MAP- che Delilah Gutman ha intrapreso sul repertorio etnico in relazione al linguaggio della musica classica d’occidente e alle arti.
The singing sculpture “The seed creates the Word” is part of MAP, a music research project – Music, Art and Poetry, MAP- that Delilah Gutman has taken on ethnic repertoire in relation to the language of West classical music and arts.
